I did a plant machinery safety course when in forces and was told that in the event of hitting a cable to jump clear and off the machine in one go, no one foot off touching ground and holding on with a hand... makes sense. apparently F1 drivers have to do something similar due to the electric kers/drs system they now use.

same with helicopters and static discharge, when you see the ex wrestler movies of people hanging off the landing gear, they would be getting some jolt!
