I urgently need help

Hi all
I am in Scotland and I have got into a course at college called level 5 electrical practice for electricians. The college has said this is the equivalent to a city and guilds qualification. It leads to an nc then a hnc course. I have been told that I need an apprenticeship but have tried ringing every electrian in two countys. Can anyone give me advice please? Thanks for your time TD

I believe the IET and NICEIC are working on a scheme for apprentices maybe you should contact them for pointers? I think there is a growing initiative to increase apprenticeships and encourage growth in this area on a national level. Perhaps you could test out the truth of that. Be interested to hear what happens.

You could try the apprenticeship website for Scotland, though on a quick search I found nothing near Stirling. But it may have some more information that may help.

Hi,your college course provider should be able to assist you,if only information wise,and if they are short of answers...what does that tell you of their ability as a training provider?

It does not matter who is funding the course,they should be ready with all the answers to your questions,as you will,for any exam,put to you.

I strongly believe,that the training commitment,should be serious in both directions.
