Discuss If i buy a megger mft1553 on-site what other tester will i need to buy? in the Electrical Tools and Products area at ElectriciansForums.net

You'll need a gs38 tester and possibly a proving unit.

Also depending on the testing, you may want to buy an R2 lead as well.

I'm not sure if the megger carries out phase rotation or not?

I also carry with my kt64, a megger dcm 330, a megger dcm 310 clamp meter, and a socket and see fuse finder.

Oh and welcome along to the forums

Well, the 1553 will complete all the required tests needed on the initial verification or periodic inspection of an electrical installation.

Perhaps a phase rotation meter and a decent voltage/continuity tester for everyday use would also be handy.
