I've only just found this



Martindale Electric has identified a potential failure mode of the yellow EZ150 / EZ650 advanced socket testers which could create a hazardous situation.

As a precautionary measure Martindale Electric is voluntarily recalling all EZ150 / EZ650 socket testers with serial numbers between
50 000 000 and 213 999 999 and will replace them with new EZ150 / EZ650 products with a full 2 year warranty.

If you are an end user with an affected product please visit www.martindale-electric.co.uk/safety-notice-eu.php where you will find a simple process to return EZ150 / EZ650 models for replacement with new product.

If you are re-seller with stock please visit www.martindale-electric.co.uk/safety-notice-w.php where you will find a simple process to return EZ150 / EZ650 models for replacement with new product.

If you are outside the UK please visit Export Recall where you will find a simple process to return EZ150 / EZ650 models for replacement with new product.

Please note that other socket testers in the Martindale range are NOT affected.

EZ150 and EZ650 products with serial numbers above 214 000 000 are NOT affected.

Replacement products can additionally be identified by a label reading “ Ver. 2 “ on the product and packaging.

We are carrying out this recall because of the tremendous importance we attach to safety and product quality.
