Discuss In line switch for workbench ring in the The Welcome Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Whilst it is worth teaching people to turn off all equipment at the end of the day, it wouldnt hurt to have a main isolator to be sure everything is off when leaving.

Are power tools used in this workshop? If so, it could be worth installing a latching contactor with start/stop and e-stops (although i believe this system would have to be designed to meet standards other than bs7671 for machenery control)
