hightower

This is my nominee. Just can't fathom what a scantily clad lassie sitting on presents has got to do with electrics or telecommunications (I think that's what at&t is)

but why is she wearing yellow knickers?

Surely you don't mind though? :D
I just don't get the whole 'let's use a woman to make some sales' type of marketing. I see it all the time in bike magazines. Instead of letting the bike speak for itself that think ooooo we'll stick her on it, that'll help sell some. If I want to see a naked lady I know where to find them. If I want to see new bikes, then get the silly tramps off them.

lol Its a proven method for getting more sales. It certainly caught your attention :p

I love pin ups. I've even got one tattooed on my arm. I just don't get how a multi billion pound corporation like that thinks that's an appropriate advert for a professional magazine. Might have got my attention, but for the wrong reason

Well it's clearly a Christmas "gift" from the company based on stereotypical expectations of the trade. Whether it is appropriate or not is really up to the viewer. Personally I think it is certainly chauvinistic but quite harmless. It's no different to a pirelli rep dishing out girly calendars to good customers really, just done more publicly.

If you have issue with the blatent sexualisation of advertising, I reckon there are far more worthy targets for criticism than this cheeky ad though. This is in a trade magazine likely to be viewed by adults and is cheeky at worst. Focus your attention on the far more explicit and suggestive material that gets thrust into our childrens' eyeballs through pre watershed TV advertising.

ohno! have they got teletubbies in bikinis advertising maltesers now?
