Hello all,

Can you please advise, I have my C&G 236 prt 1 & 2 and AM1 can you please let me know if I need to complete the C&G 2394 for Initial Verification & Certification of an installation as from what I can remember this was covereded the C&G 236 prt2 course?

Thank you, oh and thanks for the add to the forum!

You should be competent to design, install, inspect and test the installation.
If this is covered in the 236 parts 1 and 2 then this would be sufficient to demonstrate some competence. Experience over time may also do this.
If you wanted to be able to demonstrate competence with the current regulations then you could take the 2394 (soon to revert to the 2391 (part) ), however if you are already competent then there should be no requirement to take this course, just a useful exercise.
(you probably want to place posts singly in the correct part of the forum to get the best response).

Welcome along.

Thank you very much and agreed, newby mistake...

whilst plenty of testing and initial verification was covered when I did my c&g certs back at college, my CPS scheme still wanted C&G 2391 or equiv, I did the EALas it was cheaper and satisfied the scams requirements!
