hello everyone, i am from London i have a job of 4 big three story houses (6 bedroom with 4 bathrooms ) in High Wycombe for cømplete electric installations , could you guys please give me roughly idea how much should be the just labour price because material will be supplied by the builder .. thanks

If the builder is supplying the materials, the electricians rate will be higher than normal as they are not getting the “entire” job.

Other than that, the price can vary somewhat depending on the build of the houses... stone walls, timber frame etc and the local area.

Thanks for responding, you are right i think , but how you guys normally workout the price in builds if you have to do just Labour, because after this job i have another 2 bedroom 14 flats from the same builder .. thanks

I’d imagine houses that size in London would have a lot of high spec stuff as well meaning lots of different cable runs, who’s doing all the calcs? any more info Harry?
Hi , it’s gonna be with just simple finishing , spotlights in kitchen ,bathrooms and corridors and one rose pendant in each room , & door bell

Hope the op doesn’t take this the wrong way as I’m not intending to insult but if you are at the stage of costing jobs of this size you shouldn’t really need to much advice on here........and you should probably be aware that if a builder is supplying materials they will be **** to say the least...:)
The only advantage I could see for the builder is if the OP isn’t VAT registered and being newbuild they will be zero rated....saving himself 20% on the material.

When I'm working out labour I break it down to small sections for example start with the simple things how long does it take you to fit a CU , how long to wire a ring , how long to chop out a back box . How long to fit a down light ETC .

How have you managed to secure all this work without having any idea on what you are charging?

Didn’t they ask for a price before giving you the jobs?
Hi , just to clearify that i just bought this business from one of my friend ‘s family, he had cancer and passed away 2 months ago so i took over all his business without any knowledge, and his customers are happy to continue with me but i will have to keep same standard , his team was good so i am carrying whole his team (5 electrians) , at the moment i have 4 big houses and 14 (2bedroom) flats all newbuilds , i have to sort out all labour prices on Monday and have to start work next week .. i have got the job 100% and i know builder will offer me same price as they were giving to my friend because they were dealing with him from last 20 years .. but still i want to make sure the labour prices before i confirm the deal , and i hope you guys understand now my situation..
thanks
