hi there, while completing an insulation test on a ring circuit i have come accross a few problems.
insulation between l-e and n-e are fine, 299megs, but insulation between l-n on both up and down rings are showing no reading, any sugestions??
r1 r2 rn are all showing low ohms on both rings, R1 + R2 are okay on both rings.

hi there, just found out a radio and a light plugged in, hiding behind bed!! and kitchen microwave wired in to ring behind cuboards, and not on a fused spur!!
Thanks for the help.

that's the reason i always put a multimeter across first.

I always run 250v test first but out of curiosity have you ever seen anything blown at 500v - only ever lost neons in spurs but nothing major

biggest problem ive seen is guys blowing up PIR's and washing machines alway test at 250 first any low reading switch the meter to continuity then test again ,oh how fun eh
