I know I should be able to work this one out but my head is hurting ...

Currently there's a two-way switch in operation at each end of a hall. Customer wants to be able to switch from upstairs as well, but cable run-wise it's much easier to run to upstairs from the switch which is currently supplying the lamp. Can you wire the lamp any way from what would turn into the intermediate switch instead of the two-way at the end?

Thanks.

No I can't sorry

a bit vague. basically, you go from sw1 to sw2 with a 3core via the intermediate.

Should be no problem. When you say the switch you are extending from has the switch wire, does it also have the live feed. if so it's straightforward. and even if not it still should'nt be a problem.

Sorry, probably didn't give enough info.

At the moment there are two two-way switches, s1 which has the two core switch live to the light fitting and is connected by three core to s2. I want to add another (two way?) switch, s3, also linked by three core to s1, making s1 the intermediate. The question is, am I still ok having the switch live to the light going from an intermediate instead of a two way at the end?

Hope that makes more sense?
