sent off to regrade my jib card a few weeks ago,
sent my certificates for 2330 l2, l3, NVQ l3,17th,
got my card back expecting a nice gold JIB card.
Opened the letter and got a white card, ECS at the top and electrician graded with ANCILLARY OPERATIVE at the bottom.
Is this a ECS card and not JIB card. The application was for a JIB card.
i know i have to ring them but just wondered if anyone else had a answer.
Thanks

I recently applied for mine and gave them same qualifications as you, apart from AM2 which i also sent in, came back as gold card/installation electrician

i checked the site before i sent my application off and i can be graded a electrician without the am2.
ill have to ring them which hate doing because i get the impression that they dont care

Everytime i called they were quite helpful, the office they run isnt as big as you would think so no worrys of getting put through to a non english speaking dummy

Keh7486 The ECS card and JIB card are one and the the same thing. NVQ 3 including AM2 should get you a card showing that you are an Electrician. That is the JIB grade. Of course you should call them but just be aware that the ECS scheme is administered by the ECA on behalf of the JIB, so that is who you will be talking to.

isnt that the problem, there's that many different quals now no one knows what it takes to be a spark,in the old day it was jib company/apprenticeship/jib card/spark..

i've just recieved my card back also and it says the same thing although i'm not fully qualified i've completed my 2330 level 3 and i'm doing my nvq3 but i was expecting a trainee electrician card, apparently it's because i'm not employed at the moment and it wasn't sponsored by an employer for some reason i can only get an electrical labourer card.
