JIB Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS) JIB Gold card

Hello all,

Just a quick question, as i am a little unsure on the application for the gold card.

My qualifications are;

C&G 2330 Level 3
C&G 2330 Level 2
C&G 17th Edition
C&G 2394
C&G 2395

Would this qualify me for a JIB Gold card??

I have done but i cannot see anywhere that these quals will get me the gold card..

Think you maybe missing NVQ level 3 to become approved

I believe you will also need references, of your competency, ie previous employers etc.

Thanks but i cant see where it says i need nvq level 3 as your qualified with 2330 level 3

u need nvq 3 to gold card if you ring them or mail them they will send u forms,

You dont mention your experience, time on site, only your quals.

Not up to date on the latest c&g course numbers but I assume that 2330 is the old 236 part 2?

And dependant on your experience and length of time in the industry AM2 will be required although I do know of sparks gaining approved status with out it

So 3 years at college still aint enough to qualify me.. without an nvq... A joke if you ask me. Ill have to get my nvq then if jib wont accept..

It tells you on the website what you need

Did you bother to read.

It quite clearly states technical certificate and nvq

The 2330 is only a technical certificate.

They keep telling you the 2330 framework.


You need 2330 lvl3 and nvq 2357 and am2 test


You will have to go back to college to do the enviromental unit (I know I did 2330)

Cant do just the nvq 2356 now.

So you will need to do the enviromental unit as the 2357 replaces 2330 and 2356

So will need to do it.

(Solar panels etc I think)
