first of all i would like to say hello to all members, hope this is a right place for my thread if not please move it :)

here is my problem, any help appreciated.
I think i have been graded by jib unfairly, anyone have experience with similar issue and know what to do next? is the appeal against the grade to jib the only way? Thanks in advance.

hi thanks for your answer, will try to explain bit more. im trained overseas electrician according to the jib pdf file from their site:

"Anyone trained overseas should contact the organisation known as UK Naric in order to have their qualifications evaluated; Overseas-trained operatives must also hold:

•The current BS7671 IEE Wiring Regulations* – and -
•A current ECS Health & Safety Certificate (or recognised exemption)

Bona Fide references must be supplied to confirm experience and competence."

i satisfy all the conditions above and they graded me as adult trainee stage 2. Been doing the job in this country for the 5 years now (working as a improver) and decide i have enough experience now to apply for the golden card. Any idea what to do now? im affraid if i appeal against this decision to jib they wont do anything, so do you know if there is any higher institution i can ask for help or complain?

Guessing they want NVQ3 /AM2..just bite the bullet.

Worked with a wizzard from Zimbabwe, arrived here by the seat of his pants, knew BMS, HVAC, motors, controls, way out of my league yet graded the same as you.

Unfair i know, maybe you could go to Sidcup and try and speak to someone face to face..?

from the ecs website:

Trainee electrician (Stage 2)

A copy of your City & Guilds 2360 Parts One & Two, 2351 - All eight units or EAL Certificate in Electrotechnical Technology Level 3 –plus your Employer’s sponsorship (See Section 1c of the application form)

so looks like they accepted all that the question is what more i can do? btw im from poland
