A former work mate of mine went to Canada as his brother lives there told us that you can't get a job sraight away as an electrcian he had to go through some sort of process for 12-18 months before he would be reconised as a fully qualified electrician by Canadian standards

You need to sit a Red Seal exam for the relevant part of the country you heading to.
