I am shortly to have some electrical work done in my kitchen and have been discussing the placement of double sockets and cooker switches with my electrician. The double sockets are on a long wall with the oven and hob in the middle. He has said that the cable can run from one socket to the next horizontally. This makes sense but means it would be channelled into the wall that is behind the hob. Is this an acceptable practise? I cannot find anything to say it cannot be done and the wall behind my current hob does not get overly warm when the hob is on but just wanted to double check this is OK with regards to heat.
Thanks,
Daz

It is, and you will probably have a splash back behind hob (if not ,why not )

splash back? is it a hob or a shower? if so, can he run the fan from it?
