Discuss kva to amperage westernpower in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

simple. 40kVA per phase. that's 1666.66666666666 A per phase. if the phases are balanced/nth308£$"^

I have a quick rough calc I always use and you just take your kva value for 3ph and divide by 0.73 this will give you approx 164amps per phase.
If its single phase then divide by 0.25 so 20kva SP is 80amps.

If you have the amps and want the kva then multiply by these values.

I get 173 assuming power factor is 1
120000 amps /400 volts x 1.73. = 173.4 amps per phase

Edit I’ve used 400 volts rather than 415 volts. :)
