Hi all.
So I have read a few posts on fitting down lights into celotex or equivalent and I have the same issue but with my own property, and my question is this. If I am going to install some LED downlights into a bathroom where 2/3 rds of the ceiling has no space due to celotex...can I extend the cable from the driver of each LED so that they can be installed/driven from the void that has the space to fit them? they will be accessible from the cutouts of the other downlights, and be extended about 1.5m.

I sort of agree with you there Justin, but builders should then put a little thought into the design of the lighting...and not just hang a single pendant in a large bathroom just because it's easier for them. Had I done the extension/ refurb I would have done everything right at first fix stage rather than the usual FITWD attitude of most builders these days :)
