After some ideas, got a flood light to install to light a playing field for a fire drill. Supply is sorted spec is sorted. However it coming off a external building which is not much bigger than a normal door height. I'm looking for a mount to take this up to roughly 4m, but idearly not timber. Has anyone picked one up before?

I've used standard TV aerial masts for similar jobs. Cheap, all fixings easily available and does the task simply

i thought of strut, with a couple of cross braces.

does it look ok? Never tried it and can't picture it.

Not too bad, works well for getting that little extra bit of reach, it's a round bit of dog legged pipe with a light attached to it at the end of the day

If you want to go higher (or the fitting is heavier) I'd agree for the above using the strut

T&K brackets, decent thickness antenna mast and good strong rawl bolt fixings. Not fixed too near to the top course of bricks. Daz
