Hi Guys,
This is sort of an introduction/first post as I am new to the forum, so any advice welcome. Can anyone please tell me the current compliance for fitting LED lights in outdoor decking? Any info appreciated.

Cheers

Welcome to the forum.

If you are fitting LED lights outside then they would need to be protected against the weather, generally IP44 or greater is OK, but IP33 is actually permitted by the regulations, but not generally suitable in my opinion.
If you are fitting individual decking lights as opposed to LED strip then I would tend to go for the stainless steel ones so they will last longer.
Make sure your cable glands / joints /junction boxes are also weatherproof.
If they are extra low voltage then keep the cable after the driver as short as possible.

Hi Sparkman 123
this is my first post as well.
i generally use ELV LEDs for decking, 'lighting for gardens' in Letchworth are a good source- their navigator range give you choice of size and output. Collingwood are top quality but are generally constant current - series wired- rather than constant voltage - parallel.
Aurora IP68 16w drivers can run quite a few units. Always put the drivers in an IP rated enclosure and use nylon glands for the cables. I always use HO7 RNF 2 core, either 1.5mm or 2.5mm depending on the length of the run - voltage drop. Because the LEDs are so low demand you'll be surprised how long a cable run you can design.
i always use Light Symphony for the wireless control, quality, robust..
All the best
