Hi peeps
I need an LED lux meter that can measure the full spectrum of light emitted. Any recommendations.
I also need to convince the 'buyer' and engineer as to why normal meters don't work.
Good solid advice please, with some links?

What's the disagreement about? A decent spectrum analyzer will cost a few thousand pounds, it's the kind of equipment you'd rent rather than buy.

I just to measure emergency lighting lux levels.
We was getting a reading of 0, when there was sufficient light levels with the life safety equipment.

A lux meter measures visible light, which even an led wavelength covers. The only time leds lights give false readings on lux meters, is when they are dimmed or driven using PWM. Being switch on 100`s of times per second, can through the meter out. But never seen one showing zero...?
A spectrum 256k colour lux meter is a bit expensive just to prove a point. Sounds like you need a new meter, so maybe this is more affordable..Extech LT40 LED Light Meter

i was having problems with my old meter and found out that the old type of photodiode are only calibrated to tungsten filament wavelengths 3000k and can give false readings from led panels because they are on the bluer side of the spectrum:
5000k+
