As far as I was aware , there is no legislation to make an EICR a legal requirement ?
But in a conversation on another non sparking forum , I am being told it is a legal requirement for business properties .
If this is the case , does anyone have a link to the said legislation as this other chap has not yet provided the exact reference in law .

Ian that was just plain rude :ihih: some of the agri installs that we come across , have surely been modified by farmers with a far higher engineering understanding than the average humble sparks , I mean would you have ever realised that a sear bolt from a D1000 square baler could ever double as not just a main incomer fuse but also every size down to just a simple 6 amp auto fuse in the tractor , all with just some baling twine and a bit of fettling with an angle grinder ( guard removed of coarse ) !

What have the Electricity at Work Regulations (1989?) and HSE got to say on the matter?
