Hello Electricians,

I started level 2 ( 2365 ) 3 months ago and have passed the Electrical science unit already and I am due to do my practical exam end of January.

I have a couple more tests to go and I was wondering how much harder is level 3 ?

This is my ambition to become an Electrician I have also started collecting my own tools. I don't have any GCSE's but this will not stop me!!

Don't worry about your GCSE's. Mine weren't worth the paper they were written on and I didn't have much trouble getting qualified. As long as you've got a good understanding of Maths (or at least know how to use a calculator) then you'll be fine. Level 3 is as hard as you found level 2 at first. As long as you revise and have a genuine interest then you'll get through.

Oh, and look for easy marks where you can. My mind went blank on the 3rd year Science written test trying to remember the formulas which were to do with Pythagoras theorem. The first part of the question was correctly labeling a power triangle for 3 marks, the other 3 marks using the triangle to get the question/answer with a formula I just let go.

Also show your workings, one of the smarter guys on the course bitched and moaned because he got his answers but showed no workings and was docked marks on various questions for his laziness.
