Limited Circuits

Guys
I'm changing a fuseboard next week, it has 2 power circuits one cooker and one lighting circuit,it hardly seems worthwhile putting a split rcd board in will one rcd covering all the circuits satisfy the 17th?

Small CU, one main switch, 2 RCBO's.
We wont be using RCDs covering many circuits in 5 years time, it will all be RCBOs, and a good thing that is too.
I'd use a 5 or 6 way CU (plus main switch) so it could be upgraded if needed in future.

The BRB only says you ve gotta split lights up/down etc as you have nt got that HAPPY DAYS..
I had to fit a split load on a 5 circuit job the other day! The whole house was on 1 ring/shower/cooker but 2 lightings circuits..
I put a new kitchen ring in and thought id be nice to the next person working there
Shes got 5 spare ways but a poss extention in the future...
Oh and surely you got 1 power circuit and one lighting

Eddie what type of property is it a flat or a house ?also you may think well 4 circuits I will keep it that way but you should always think what if they want an extention a shower so yep a 6 way RCBO or funny enough a 10 way dual rcd why because it is cheaper and you can expand it in the future.

either 4 RCBO or just fit 6 way box with RCD main switch...!

also MK do a 3x3 board with dual RCD!! gives you 2x spare ways for future!

Oldtimer, it's a house, I will definetly install an 8 way board and install a dual RCD for possible expansion although it will not be for the present owners they are happy with what they have. i'll make it easy for the sparks of the future
