Hi

I am coming to the end of finishing my Electrical Installation 2365 level 3 and would really like to get an opportunity to work with an established firm/person. I have been office based for the last 10 years and do not have extensive on-site experience on it, I would class myself as a mature trainee as I am in my early 40s.
100% dedicated I would welcome helping out as an Electrician mate. I am currently working, so will have to plan around my days off also I am based in Birmingham, Hall Green.

I completed my 2365 level 3 during 2017 and found it hard to find local employment at the time. I also completed the 17th Edition Wiring Regulations course, the Part P course, the Fundamental Inspection & Testing course, and the PAT Testing course; all to boost my chances of finding employment.

After several months with no luck, I started my own business as a sole-trader (bought a van, created a website & email, bought a landline phone-number forwarded to my mobile, and even created pages on social-networking sites with paid adverts.
I didn't get many clients directly, but the established local electricians saw I was keen and sub-contracted me to work on their jobs. I made a lot of contacts during this time which helped get my name out there.

More recently I have stared working for a company again but it's a good option if you're struggling to find employment.

Hi IC2

Thanks for the advice just abit reluctant to go solo and try. I currently work in an office and fed up was hoping I could work with someone for 6-12 months to get experience before trying on my own.

I'll see how it goes otherwise I'll just stick it out where I am.

Thanks
