Hi Guys

Just looking for some advice on how to run a mains riser?

Its a Victorian Terraced House and the top of the house is the 3rd floor as it is to be renivated into a flat.

The Meter and fuse boards for the other floors are in the ground floor kitchen.

I plan to run a mains riser 25mm to a split board inside the top flat.

just how to i get the cable up there?

some of the exsisting cable for the other floors goes up the stairs! round the staircase.

do i go armoured and run the cable on the outside of the building but need scaffolding or try and somehow run it up through each floor?

Run armoured on the outside mate, inside sounds like a nightmare. I wired up a load of council flats like this, only first floor flats though

Distributors run hybrid up the side of buildings and it is not armoured and often protected by 400A substation fuse, so I would not have any hesitation in running SWA outside, (done it before and will do it again)

Thanks yeah it would be a straight run with the SWA but the building is so tall i would need scafolding and there is a conservetory on the back of the kitchen with a glass roof!
