My Megger LCB2500/2 loop/RCD tester has developed a fault that when ever you do any test the overheated indicator shows that it has overheated even when cold. I presume it will need to go in for repair but can anyone recommend a cheap but reliable repairer. Thanks in advance.

Don't sent the Tester to Megger mate find an independent approved Megger service centre their prices are usually more competitive than going to Megger direct. I've used Acutest in the past with very good service, maybe not the cheapest, but their fixed price repair and/or calibration limits the cost and you know the "damage" up front. It's normally a 7 day turn around service, sometimes quicker in slack times.
Acutest - Book a Calibration or Repair

I never bothered. I got a quote from megger and another company around the £260 + VAT so just bought another tester instead. I would be interested to hear if you get yours fixed and how much as I may get mine done as a spare if the price is right.

found a place today which will repair for £108 but also found almost new one on ebay for £135 dilemma! specialy since my leads have sin better days

Who quoted £108 that sounds a good price. I would get mine repaired for a spare at that price.

yeah. please tell. £108 than megger charge, better it is.
