Bargain fella, can't go wrong at that price, well done great buy
only thing is....i`v now got 5 MFTs....
together with a load of seperates. and DMMs/analogue multimeters n high/low ohms...lol
gonna have to start thinking about where to put em....

thought i might hang a couple of em on the wall...and stand the others in tasteful pose on the mantlepiece...

you know i`v just been reading a PDF of the operating instructions and data for these....
and from what i can see their a damn good bit of test gear i can tell you....

The CM500 is a top piece of equipment probably better than the 15 and 17 series.

Hi,

I got mine off e-bay ( £80 and I thought that was good ), mainly because that was what I used with the company I used to work for. I still believe they are one of the best on the market.

Regards.

well....i may have just dropped on then....
i think one of em needs a new rotary dial....as long as the rotary assembly is OK....as you can get high values through these if the gold contacts inside are worn....but you can usually tell by the `feel` of em....and i think its missing a battery cover as well is that one....hmm...we`ll see..
the other one looks OK though...but the proof of the pudding is initially to get it on the checkbox.....

they are usually around the £200 mark in there....
perhaps folk who had it on `watch` were too ale`d up or summat to get to the PC..lol..
been a lovely day hasn`t it...

Even if you end up with one 100% working and intact one from the two, you'll have done very well (plus will have a handy source of spares). I used CM500's a hell of a lot in the earlier years of my career, very solid testers.
