Thought I had posted this back in Jan, but looks like it didnt post.

A meter reader turned up unannounced to take a reading/inspection of the PV installation at my setting, said this was normal and would happen every 2yrs !

I had an inspection about 2 yrs after install. I had a spam type email. (so deleted it) Forget the company now, contacted FIT provider, had no reply by email. I would have at leasted expected FIT ID or meter number etc. very Unprofessional. Then a G4S guy turned up. ( but it was more of a meter reading than an inspection.

It's a 'legal' obligation of your FIT provider to do their own meter reading every two years.

Good Energy great communiations and emailed me in advance that someone woould come and the process / arrangements that they would go through of they were unable to gain access at the first visit.

We had a letter from EDF to tell us that they hadn't been able to gain access to check the meter and, unless we responded quickly, we would lose our FiT payments! When I contacted them to express my displeasure with the threatening letter they told me they had called three times and had left a card on the third. I told them they hadn't and so they went off to check. It turned out that they had called once (when we were out of the country) and hadn't left a card.
