Meter Tails - Neutral

Hey guys. Wondering if anyone has came across this before and if it is legal? It is several 1.5mm single cores going into the neutral of the main switch. Main fuse etc is several metres away in communal hallway, but is a 16mm meter tail from there.

Look for the earths. They should be of the same size and number as the neutral cores, hopefully sleeved up.

Yeah there was. My only concern now is, it is buried in walls and under floors to get to the Main fuse.

Split concentric normally has fewer, but thicker, strands for the earth. Or at least the few split-con cables I've come across have.

Technically it could be a concern if it is buried in walls outside of the safe zones less than 50mm deep (etc etc)

Yeah I know was wondering the works the OP was carrying out. I believe in the 16th Ed this type of cable was acceptable for containment in walls without additional protection, come the 17th or maybe a 16th Amm, can't remember it disappeared. So whether by intention or not at the time of installation it would have complied.

Because it is from an 80A supply at dno fuse and offers no protection. Is unlikely to be 50mm deep anywhere

I'm new to split concentric, but looks like it's done to BS7870, which is not on the exceptions list in 522.6.204, so likely will need protecting if it's concealed.

If it is 16.0 then clipped direct or buried in ground it will take 80A, your cable however may need correction factors applied to it and without information from the manufacturer you are not going to know.
Is the cable relying on the service head fuse, if so how long is the run and how do you know it is 80A.
