method for measuring the voltage drop

hi,

if we need to measure the voltage drop from a main cu to a sub cu in a outbuilding, what method can be used to verify the voltage drop

apply full load to the sub-main. measure volts at each end. now if you want to calculate the VD, that's a different barrel of ale ( cos i don't drink tea ( kettle) and i don't eat fish)). for that you'll have to do sums.

VD is possibly the easiest thing to measure. It's normally considered more during the design stage of an installation, hence it is more commonly calculated than measured!
