Miet Or Tmiet

Was thinking about applying for membership of the IET but their online form isn't working. Always fancied a few letters after my name lol. Any of you guys got membership?

I fudged membership about 17 years ago. Don't know the academic requirements now but you will need at least one sponsor, preferably someone who has the grade you wish to achieve or higher. You can use an employer but if you know someone who already is a Member it is preferred as the IET will deem that person to be acting on their behalf for want of a better phrase. Good luck.

I'm MIET but a lowly Eng Tech, never get round to advancing to IEng. Good luck with CEng.

MIET. Been nominated for fellowship to the ring but have not progressed it. I like the IET magazine and the discount.
