It's actually a friend, he had asked me to add a socket in his kitchen as he was getting a new kitchen fitted today.........never seen such a bodge up of sockets in my life, so many different cables, 2.5-4mm, old colours and new, told him it would need rewiring if I was doing anything to it! Then went to have a look at the booed, noticed the lid wasn't on right due to the breakers being all over the shop, opened it up and seen that mess! Asked him who done it he said he doesn't know it was like that when he bought it 10 years ago........

methinks he's winding you up. who would have fitted a metal CU over 10 years ago? bet you he's done it himself within the last 6 months.

might straighten up if the busbar was fitted in the right place. i'm struggling to see anything right in that mess.

It looks very much like the old style MK CU, metal enclosure with insulated cover. The new A3 CU's have a different din rail T bar, to prevent 'bowing & twisting', which IMO doesn't work!

The system for putting up pics is very poor, surely needs addressed Dan?
It's glitchy at the moment. We're lucky to be online! New server already ready, just waiting for a quiet time traffic-wise to transfer. As we'll need to close the network for a few hours. Then once we're on the new server, I'll fix the glitches along with other tweaks and things.

it doesn't look 10 years old for sure. Re upside down. Maybe an Australian Sparky did it?
