have a 12vt tv and booster that plugs into cigarette socket in front of van have refitted van so lounge at rear

have wired thru to a cigarette socket that shows voltage of batteries which is 2 x 11o ah leisure batteries shows 12.4 v as soon as booster is on shows 10.5 v as soon as tv goes on it drops to 8.5 v know both batteries are good as both new
could this be the diameter of cable used to wire it up would appreciate any help guys

Yes, either the wire's too thin, or there's a bad connection. What is the electrical rating of the booster and the TV, what's the spec of the wire and how long is the cable?

the tv and booster works perfect in one at front of van all connections are sound the length of cable is prob about 8 metre the cable is a twin core auto cable bought some time back off ebay cant find spec would say thickness of speaker cable if that helps

Use a voltmeter/multimeter to measure the voltage across the wires at each end with the appliances connected. If OK at the battery end, but low at the socket end, the wire's too thin.

as handy spark suggests, volt drop at that low voltage is critical. and talking of 8m, then you seriously need to fit larger cable/s.

As above , but those plugs , and especially the sockets are not an ideal connection , especially if the have been used for their original purpose.
