Need help with domestic fire alarm training

Hi all,

I have googled etc the best route for getting training on domestic whole house fire alarms as I have half a dozen among my list of lettings customers. Grade a/b/c ( couldn't understand the difference and the google shows cut and paste definitions which don't help) Ld1 and Ld2.
I have purchased the testing kit but would like to do a course to fill in the blanks between BS5839-1 and BS5839-6 as in a four storey single occupancy property they seem to be a bit confusing about which regs to follow. The wiring matters article and the various pdfs online and on napit's site dont seem to apply as they either mention Hmo's or commercial when talking about Ld1 grade A. Aico's site says call them for advice re installation but I am testing not installing.
Phew long post sorry but am hoping someone can put me on the right path.

You can go on a FIA or NSI fire alarm course, check out their websites

Hi, I have checked out the FIA but the water is muddied when talking about 4 floor domestic houses. I can do the part one course but the part 5 doesn't mention domestic.
I dont and am not going to do commercial so was hoping for more info re the overlap between
BS5839-1 and part 6 in this instance in a servicing and testing capacity.
