Afternoon all, my apologies if I am positing this in the wrong section, if I am please say and I will delete and repost.

I am based in Essex and need a professional to install power in the back of a small van with some plug sockets. I want the ability to plug into venues power supply and also be able to produce my own from a battery. Requirements will be light just 1 toaster grill, small coffee machine, a light and then just charging phones and an Ipad pretty much.

My limited understanding is that the best route would be an external port to plug into venue then on the inside a leisure battery and inverter combo??? I imagine if need be I could also plug a generator into the external socket?

Ideally looking for a qualified professional who can supply everything I need and install that isn't a million miles away. As for catering I think I need a certificate for the electrics so need you to do a totally legit job. Happy to pay cash for this.

Please pass over contact details if you are interested.

Many Thanks,
Dan

You need someone specialising in the field you’re looking at. There are plenty such vehicles around so you may be able to purchase what you require direct, without altering an existing vehicle.

Do you already have the appliences? Catering equipment involving heaters will draw a lot of power, so a battery will probaly not be suitable for the grill and coffee machine. If you have the specs for the kit you have, we can advise further.

As others have said, look for someone with specialist knowledge of this area, as people used to more convential instalations can get it wrong.

Thanks for the reply. Ok I guess that leaves my requirement as an external port to plug into venue power or a generator.

I'm having a very hard time finding someone to do the work. I have managed to get just 1 quote and the rest I'm not getting replies....everyone must be rich and not need work lol!
