Had a fault with our hob: Only two rings work, others work when hob first switched on then go off shortly after. So called warranty company. When 'engineer' arrived and looked at it, he said the pans we were using were warped!!! I didn't tell him what I did for a living and let him tell me what he wanted. Plus the same pans work on the two rings that work all the time.
I think the fault is something to do with the control panel. Anyone else come across this fault or had dealings with bulls**ters.

last week was called out to a well known make of range cooker. authorised service engineer had repaired it some months ago , charged £65 for a thermal overload,(which had failed again). + £70 call-out. all + VAT.
