All,

Just need an extra bit of help and information from what I have heard and have a bit of knowledge on.

There is a project to install a new DB but not replace all the old cabling.
An extra circuit will be added with new colours.

With this my understanding is that once complete and all relevant labels and testing but with this is there a regulation or conformity to replace all old cabling and equipment as the board was upgraded from circa (1980)

Everything tested ok but due to a replacement DB does this mean the cabling and equipment may be required to be changed within 3 years??

some help and knowledge would be great .

regards,

Where did you get the information from which made you ask these questions fella?

You are upgrading a consumer-board and as long as you testing proves that the reading meet the regs, all is fine, especially the ZS reading of circuits. In other words the new consumer-board is pointless is the circuits are not to the standard because tripping times and other aspects, is the purpose of the upgrade.

relevant labels should include the one that says " some silly colours mixed with sensible colours; colour blind sparks beware. all new cables are grey in the dark".
i worked with a colour blind sparky, on the jobs with numbered multi core cables didnt make a difference lol
