Hi all just joined, for some where to talk about all I see here, there are 2 kinds of problems here the French diy's and the English diy's anyone who can pick up a screwdriver can work on there own or any-ones electric installations, A good idea? just to make things more fun most of the older houses have a 3 phase supply.
I went to a house the other week and here you buy the supply by the kw so if the demand goes over that the whole installation trips, they had a 3 phase 30A per phase supply, when I got there they where only using one of the phases so when demand got to 30A it tripped, the other 2 phases had been left hanging outside the box without the ends even taped up, so if anyone had touched them they would have had a bit of a shock and if both at same time not good, guy that had did it say it a diy handyman said he did not understand 3 phase so did not know what to do with the other 2 phases! more tails to come
