JIB Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS) new jib rates

Discuss new jib rates in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Got 2356 nvq3, 2394 and 2395 amongst others.

im contemplating doing the 2396 level 4 design course but nobody does it locally, I could then get technician printed on it lol.

I have not really looked in to the 2396, however it does look like a good one to get for when you get a bit older and want to pack up the tools and get a desk job lol. The only thing is if you get a graded technician card and work for a jib registered company, they will have to pay you technician rates and if you are only house bashing etc for them they wont want to pay technician rates, you will be 2 qualified lol .

It's not much is it.

im going to apply for a JIB gold card next month i think as they are going to be building 1800 new houses round my way.

A damn sight better than the 7 to 9 quid being offered for qualified electricians, that Tel has a knack of finding plenty of on various online job sites!! lol!!

haha. those were just a couple of examples of how mean employers/agencies can be. there's an average of £11 -£14, which is still shyte, anythging around the £15 -£17 mark, they want you to be multi-skilled.
