Hi have retired now:), and not been directly involved in Electrical installation work for some years. I always done a bit for family and friends. Served an electrical apprenticeship with the Yorkshire Electricity Board early 1970's. Am interested in route to gain part P accreditation if its not too expensive, time consuming or bureaucratic. would appreciate any advise on reading materials for same.

Cheers

hmm part pee. need 17th ed. (2382) and loads of paperwork bumph in order to part with approx. £500/annum in order to be able tolegally do notifiable works.download the part peee doc from planning portal and see if you want to do extent of work that's notifiable. if you are like me ( semi-retired, dead and won't lie down) it's probably not worth the grief.

Thanks telectrix that's what I suspected, it's the £ notes that kills it. Just a small pipe dream of a retirement pass time, I'm not looking for a new career.
