New member looking for advice

Need advice related to my scenario at the moment

I currently work for a major transport company as an Electrical engineer were I carry out Maintenance, installation and fault finding on various assets.

Over a decade i have basically completed several electrical based college/uni courses through work such a C&G LVL 2&3 (2330+ 2365) + testing and inspection (2394+2395) etc. (Relevant ones)

I'm looking to become a domestic installer + commission/sign off work where I'm working at the moment.
(Proper electrician haha)

As im not actively working "onsite" or within the domestic sector where I would have work to present. How would I go about getting assessed and joining a approved Part P scheme etc . (NIC or Elesca)

P.S this is more for career progression or if my employment circumstance changes.

Any advice would be appreciated cheers.

I imagine that you would need to obtain the 18th, and possibly an NVQ3.

I should contact a scheme such as STROMa and discuss it with them. It is likely your qualifications may suffice. The only thing is having some work to show. Quite often people present something done in their own house which is usually sufficient. It might be worth you going for approved level with your experience and show work you have done at work? if your boss agrees.

NICEIC approved contractor is the way forward. i think t5hat with your current quals, all you need is 18th ed. and some work to show for assessment, coupled with mundane things like PL insurance, risk assessment documentation , complaints procedures, etc. best have a word with niceic before going any further.
