Hi everyone hoping someone can point me in the right direction i have recently been approached by one of my clients who has a fire and security company that charges them a monthly subscription for ongoing servicing and maintenance, the client now wishes to use us and are looking for what we will offer in our package.

I have good experience when it comes to the design, Installation, testing and commissioning of fire and security systems what i dont know is:

- What your client should get with regards to maintenance/servicing?
- Whether it should be charged monthly/quarterly/upon completion, Ect?
- What type of software would a fire/security company use to monitor there clients system as part of there subscription
- The charge to the client for the subscription to the service

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I would allow a monthly visit for the Fire alarm, a quick sweep with a paint brush in the panel, a test of the batteries and a test of the installion should be a half day visit, I would suggest a 12 monthy visit for security alarms, again a half day visit, this IMHO is sufficient, unless they want different terms.

Hi MDJ Thanks, makes sense that the fire alarms are checked more frequently over security, i have seen some companies offering a service that monitors the fire and security system externally i am presuming remotely on the companies premises and am keen to find out how its done, i served my time as a spark in 2015 im now an approved electrician been running my own business since i served my time i have a good general knowledge of security systems i.e. CCTV but a far better understanding of security alarms and fire alarm systems in domestic and commercial properties with a rise in demand im looking to expand our services either inline with the best or better.
