Discuss NEW Wago 221 series for 6mm cable in the Electrical Tools and Products area at ElectriciansForums.net

I used those for the first time the other day. Smaller and easier to use than the others... but more expensive and not MF in a wagobox.

Are you sure they're not MF rated? I thought they were. I use Wago all the time and have done ever since they came out as I think they're better than sliced bread.

Mind I had to point out to them that their video on the web site showing lighting uses has a switched live black wire that wasn't sleeved brown.

I ordered the free sample weeks ago but still haven't got the sample. Is this a new range or is it just the 221 series (221-402 for 2 pole, 221-403 for 3 pole and 221-405 for 5 pole), if its those numbers they only are good for 4mm and they have been around a while now (I've been using them for 18 months or so).

New parts for 6mm². They're just a little bit bigger all round then the existing ones. If you saw one by itself, you might not notice that it was any different.

Not sure how many of you have received this from the Wago marketing department ............. definitely worth ordering some samples!

I thought that Wago had forgotten me..............

This turned up yesterday:

Mine too, they obviously learnt from their highly wasteful postage efforts from before and someone got a slap for costing the company money sending a toddlers handful of Wagos in a big box (its pronounced Vaago! by the way - Vaatevaa!)

It’s obvious that they cannot organise a drinks party in a micro hipster brewery establishment - foresooth!

I got an Big box with 6 wagos, 3x4mm and 3x6mm in 2,3&5 connection models.

As said individually you’d not tell the difference. But side by side you can.

Enquiries with wholesaler but their supplier hasn’t got them in yet and date of when they’re coming in to stock I was told.

Far better than the grey ones.
