Hello All,

I currently work in the hospitality trade mainly front of house, I am pretty happy with my current job but I have always wanted to learn a trade such as this but never got round to it and if I can make a new career out of it then that would be amazing. I am 25 and have a house, mortgage etc so becoming an apprentice would probably be out of the question so I have enrolled on a EAL Level 2 Electrical Installations Part Time.

If anyone could please offer advice on what path they would recommend? Would doing the EAL level 2 electrical installations course over 2 years be enough to maybe get some work as a mate ? and how does the ECS Card types as I was looking at getting the trainee one but its not very clear on how to get one ?

Sorry if this has been answered already or is posted in the wrong area.

Thanks
