Hi all, recently moved to a bungalow. Bedroom has 1 light switch that turns on to lights. I would like to change it so that operates both lights independently, please. Current wiring is 2 red wires going into Common and 1 red light going into L1. L2 is not being used. Its is double earthed but not into the switch. I have a 2 way 2 gang switch, is this correct? I would be very grateful for any advice. Both lights are fitted with 3 spotlights, which I want to change aslo. That is not my main concern atm. Just how to switch the on individually. Many thanks.

as i see it, both lights are wred in parallel and there's only 1 wire from the switch. to do what you want would entail getting an electrician in. it's not as easy as you may think.

Thank you for your prompt reply. I thought that would be necessary. I think moving into a bungalow might be agood move regarding electrical problems. Thank you once again, very grateful. Great song 10cc.
