Hi there

Just joined the forum, I’m on here seeking domestic installation knowledge.

I’ve been an Industrial Electrician for 12 years mainly attending breakdowns and carrying out rountine maintenance with Installation work making up about 20%. I’ve just been moved onto a shift pattern which gives me a few days off here and there and I’m considering moving into the domestic world. I’ve just started swotting up on GN3 to take the 2391-52 at the end of August. To help me gain the necessary experience I’m looking to work with an electrician in the Kent/Sussex area. Not looking to earn any money out of it just be happy to learn! So if there’s anyone on here that works(knows someone that works) in the Kent/Sussex area that could use a hand please let me know.

Many Thanks
Jim

ditto. 3 things an industrial spark needs to know when doing domestics.

1. galv tray/trunking/conduit is not acceptable on surface down sitting room walls.

2. kitchen appliance isolators do not need to be 3ft x 2 ft.

3. 240mm SWA is overkill for a shower.

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D.

1. I would love cable tray in my house, but the boss won't allow it.
2. Maybe when the 18th comes out?
3. The way showers are going I would recommend 240mm SWA cable...
