Newbie question- how to notify a DNO

Hi all. I just passed my accreditation with the NICEIC as PV installer, so this is to introduce myself and to seek all your wisdom on something I can't fathom. Apologies to all if this is covered on previous posts, but I couldn't find it.
Having done my own (small 6 panel ) PV system as my test piece for the accreditation vist, I've now to get registered for the FITs dosh. In G83 etc it says you have to notify the DNO and then send them the SSEG installation commissioning confirmation with 28 days. Please can someone tell me what the notifying bit involves - or can I , as I hope , email, fax or post the commissioning confirmation and that's that.

It's pretty straightforward. Ring the DNO and ask them for a G83 form. Fill out the form, send it back to them with the test forms and the circuit diagrams and you're done.
