I keep my cider in mine Tel, the farmers toe nails harden in the cider and they are easily removed when cold mate.

I'm replacing an old MEM Fuse Board in my garage with a Small CU. The power was supplied from the ground floor ring main, so I've removed that and added a separate circuit in the main CU with its own RCBO. Problem is, the RCBO trips every time I turn something on and I can't understand why. Apart from the supply cable - main CU to new CU - the cabling is exactly the same as yesterday and was working so I can't understand why there's a problem. Help desperately needed as I have 3 freezers in the garage.
What sort of main CU do you have? is it a relativley new one with 2 RCDs?

Does it trip with no load? I.e nothing plugged in and turned on?

If yes then I'd suspect a short within your new (notifiable) circuit.

If not then turn your appliances on one at a time and narrow down the offending item.

If the main cu us a split one are live and neutral on same side?

Already hinted at that very point Percyprod post 23
but the only response was it's all sorted now, don't think the OP will be back, so we will probably have to form our own conclusion.
