I'm looking for a voltage pen just to help trace cables, had a couple of cheapey ones and they either beep constantly or not at all. Anyone got an recommendations? I've seen the fluke, kewtech and meggers are all around the same price (£20ish)

The fluke ldv2 is a good choice,it has 3 light modes, blue means on,purple means live nearby and red means live, very handy if working in a bunch of singles, also has a handy white light at the end.

Why not rather invest in a proper circuit breaker locater? I have one of these I use every blue moon, very inexpensive and works okay, you can use it for cable identifying as well.
