I am thinking of installing a wireless home alarm possibly texecom premium elite. But i would like to extend it to cover my van as well, when its park overnight. Hence few questions to advanced installers.
Basicaly i would install a sensors on the back and side doors. Texecom have good coverage with their ricochet systems. Since my external sounder will be literally 5-6 meters away from the van i can't see that there will be any problems with comunication. Main box will be approx 15m away indoor obviously.
There wont be any problems with programing and arming only van sensors at night but there might be a problem when i leave for work and sensors on the van will loose connection with main box. I expect battery may go quick on those sensors and there will be some warnings on the alarm itself.
What would be the best way to tackle this to make sure system works in most efficient way?

I don't think this would work. I might be wrong but if the sensor loses signal to the panel then i think it may go in to alarm.
Maybe there is a way to disable or omit those sensors and then reprogram them again on arrival. I don't mind doing that as long as it can be done quickly from the control panel?

not sure about texecom, but with the gardtech i use, you have the opportunity, on setting, to disable zones.

Only the Pyronix wireless equipment will do what you want (& its far easier to install !).
Just change the supervision time in the programing to 24 hour (or less if you can).
You can even put a wireless sounder in the van as well.

Thanks for that info, i will look at this kit over the weekend.
Can you hook up a wireless camera to this alarm as well?
